A Wickedly Fun Easter Weekend

Don't you just love my cheesey title?? This was probably the most event filled Easter we have yet had. Friday we got together with the Perkins clan and did an egg hunt followed by some egg coloring. Olivia and Grandpa searching for eggs

Olivia looked in the garden and found some golf balls trying to look like eggs before she actually found the eggs.
The eggs are all found. Two cute cousins posing for a post hunting picture.

Riley focused on using his egg spinner to make egg masterpieces.

Livvy and Dad doing things the old fashion way and having tons of fun.

Poor Bella wondering why she wasn't invited to the egg coloring.

On Saturday we woke up to a drizzling rain and got ready for the annual Rotary Easter Egg hunt.
Olivia and Bristol all ready to join the chaos of grabbing candy on the football field.

Olivia being selective about what candy to put in her bucket. Ryan kept telling her pick all those up, but she would only take the ones she thought looked good or she knew she liked.

Here is Bristol, who was just as selective as Olivia. Only the best candy for these two funny kids.

Olivia with her daddy and grandpa Doug. We love going to the egg hunt every year to support grandpa. He even let Liv out on the field with him while he was throwing out candy and snuck her a smartie early. She was in heaven!

With the Saturday egg hunting complete it was home to get some things done and then off to WICKED!!! It was absolutely fantastic.

Here is Livvy all ready to head to Grandma Jan's for the evening.

Olivia is happily settled in with Granpa Ned. Mom, Dad and Uncle Brant are off to the show.

Here's Ryan and Brant down by the stage.

This is the AMAZING dragon above the stage! It flapped it wings at one point and stuff. Pretty cool. The set was awesome. The special effects with the lighting and during Defying Gravity were unbelievable. Or more to the point believable. It was awesome when she took to the air and the two lead females were some of the best performers I have seen at Capitol Theater. The funniest part was during Popular. The actress playing Elpheba completely broke character and just started laughing. Galinda wrapped her arms around her head and told her not to laugh this was very serious stuff, not at all funny.

At intermission I ran up to the mezzinine where my family was to tell them I was loving it. My mom, sister, brother-in-law and Granny were all in the second row of the balcony and had awesome seats. Gabe was in this picture, but he looked drunk so I cropped him out. Sorry Gabe. This is by far my family's favorite show. It was amazing.

Now on to Easter. Olivia awoke to find the Easter Bunny had left her Hungry, Hungry Hippos, a book, some Book of Mormon hero figurines, new play doh and treats. But best of all was to find Uncle Brant and got her a present at Wicked.

Thank you so much Brant. She loves it. Although she was a little afraid she might turn green like Elpheba if she wore it at first. :) I will get more Easter pics on here later and some images from our awesome family play doh session!!

What a blast!! Do you remember the Easter egg hunt we always used to have at Granny's when we were kids?! :) I hope that we can take Scooter to the rotary hunt next year - I was sad we couldn't take him this year! I love the picture of Olivia in the hat from Wicked! What a cutie! :)
