Lessons learned......

By now I guess anyone who reads this can tell I am on a real list kick lately. I don't know what has brought this about, but it is an effective way of giving a little update on things that have been happening with our family. So here is a list of some things I have learned from marriage and parenting.

If you give "because" as an answer to a 3 year old, you better expect to get it for one.
There is more than one way to do almost EVERYTHING your mother always told you there was only one very specific way to do.
Stickers are not always a good idea (all Grandma's should thoroughly think about this before using them as a reward!!!)
Koolaid stains EVERYTHING!!!!
Sometimes the most unlikely thing can entertain....the dog's leash, a flashlight, pennies, using a sock for a puppet, running in circles, light switches, a stick, a rock, a ratchet set, chess pieces...see all kinds of things
Jumping off the bottom step is a HUGE deal, jumping off the second step is even bigger.
You can never have enough Otterpops.
You get used to snoring.
College football is better than the NFL.
Grape really isn't a bad flavor.
Hot cereal is DELICIOUS!!!
It is possible to get over being homesick from Mom & Dad, but it will be replaced with homesickness for your husband and daughter.
Camping is more work when you have a family to take.
Your child will be the best chaperone you ever had!!!!!!

There is nothing better than being married and having my own family!!!!
